What the scanner is for
Aitihasik is designed as a field assistant for inscriptions, carvings, sculptures, mudras, vahanas, and architectural details. It can organize visual clues into likely script, dynasty, iconography, and site context so a visitor or student has a starting point for deeper research.
How to scan responsibly
Use a stable photo, even light, and a close crop of the inscription or motif. Weathered stone, regional spelling, partial letters, and later repainting can all affect interpretation, so scan results should be treated as research assistance rather than final epigraphic authority.
What to verify next
After an AI result, compare the script family, date range, language, deity markers, and local history against inscriptions corpora, museum labels, ASI notes, or expert readings before citing the result.
